Election Day

Tomorrow is Election Day in the United States. All citizens who are registered to vote have the right to elect the candidate of their choice. This seems simple enough. However both parties are trying to influence our vote by pushing their candidate. Some of the ads are good but some are lies about one of the candidates. Let’s be sure we let God decide our vote. Pray to God for a righteous government and for a leader that follows principle rather than politics.

We can pray that the voting will be fair and honest and that the candidate that is right to govern our nation will be elected. The Bible tells us “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isa 9:6)

Our job is not to react to the election process. One person cannot change our country for good or for evil. Our prayers for our country both now and after Election Day will keep our country and all the countries of the world in peace and prosperity.
